Brief History : The Assam Rifles is a North East Centric Force, deployed in the remote areas of the North Eastern States of India. In order to provide better educational facilities primarily to the wards of the Assam Rifles personnel, a number of Assam Rifles Schools have been established at different locations where Assam Rifles units and formations are deployed. Assam Rifles School, Jairampur, Changlang Arunachal Pradesh is one of them. “The destiny of a nation is shaped in the classroom”. Keeping this in mind and great urge of the local people of Jairampur, Assam Rifles School, Jairampur was established on 7th Jul, 1987. Since, them the school has been providing quality education and thus help the children of Assam Rifles personnel and civilians of Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh. Initial recognition from directorate of School education Govt of Arunachal Pradesh on 10th Nov 2000. The School is affiliated to CBSE w.e.f 2004. Provisional affiliation extended upto 31 Mar 2025. Presently there are 255 Students studying in the School from class Nursery to X standard.

The school visualizes providing quality education and all round development of the students by focusing on discipline, group activities, leadership qualities, national integration and value education. The school also lays emphasis on sports and other co-scholastic activities and provide maximum exposure so that the students are well equipped to face the challenges of the outside world.

The school aim to inculcate virtue, discipline, truthfulness, strong character, leadership, promote indoor and outdoor activities, sportsmanship and healthy competitive spirit and amongst the children without compromising on achievements of high academic standards. So to say, the school aims to would children to become winners in life while retaining their pride in indigenous culture and maintain high moral standards.
